
Milica Marić was born on April the 1st in 1986, in Čačak. After completing the natural-mathematical program at the Gymnasium, she enrolled in the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 2005, where she specialized in interior architecture. In 2010, she successfully completed her undergraduate and master's studies with an outstanding average of 9.53.
Upon graduation, she joined the family business "Marić," which specializes in wood processing, and that same year founded WOOD MOOD DESIGN, a line of solid wood furniture that has won several international awards. This line has developed into a recognizable company, and Milica became its designer and owner.
From 2010 till today, Milica created over 50 original works within WOOD MOOD DESIGN, actively participating in all stages of production, from concept and technical processing to CNC machine programming and sales.
During her studies, her passion for furniture led to the presentation of her works at the Belgrade Furniture Fair in 2009, as well as at the exhibitions "Young Artists of Čačak" and Day D in Zagreb in 2010. Her dedication to this field continued after graduation.
In 2011, she won an award at the NAF competition, aimed at revitalizing the wood industry in Serbia, and the works were realized in collaboration with the company SIMPO from Vranje and presented in Belgrade in 2012.
Since 2011, Milica has regularly exhibited at the Belgrade Furniture Fair, and in 2012 she received recognition for exceptional aesthetic solutions for the WOOD MOOD DESIGN line.
Her work was also recognized in 2013 and 2014 when her products were included in 100% Future Serbia, organized by Belgrade Design Week. At the prestigious "Month of Design" in Slovenia, she showcased her products from 2014 to 2016, and in 2016 she received her first international award for the lamp Lajka Štipaljka at the A' Design Award in Italy.
The year 2017 was particularly successful for Milica, as she won several international awards, including the European Product Design Award for Puff Bench and Lamp Dzivdzan and the A' Design Award for Puff Bench. In May of the same year, her works won the International Design Award in Los Angeles. In February 2019, the lamp O was awarded the International Design Award in California.
The year 2020 brought two more awards for the Table of Long Socks, BIG SEE in Slovenia and the gold Muse Design Award in New York.
In 2021, Milica was selected as Serbia's representative for the EU project "Creative Europe," where she worked with colleagues from five other countries to promote creative entrepreneurship.
From 2021 to 2024, she completed the Mokrogorska Business School, further strengthening her knowledge and skills in design and entrepreneurship.
